Shane Burgess is an accomplished global search consultant who has supported some of the industry’s most successful and respected Founders, investors and category leaders. He started his search career In the Advanced Technology Practice at Korn Ferry in Europe & Silicon Valley and subsequently helped transform Odgers into one of the most commercially successful firms globally as a Senior Partner and Director. He then moved to Heidrick & Struggles where he led the Global Internet Technology Practice between 2013 – 2016 and more recently he spent three years as a Partner (Talent) at one of Europe’s most distinctive Venture Capital funds, Stride.vc.
Over the course of his career Shane has helped a great many category defining companies such as Spotify, Uber and AirBnB build their leadership teams and he has forged strong relationships with many of the world’s leading PE firms such as: Carlyle, Hellman & Friedman, EQT & SilverLake for which he has helped to build investment teams and supported the growth of their portfolio companies.
Shane is an active Angel investor in tech companies and is a Growth Advisor to the Founder CEO at Stenn where he has helped support the growth of this category leading FinTech from c.$80m to $200m+ ARR.
Shane is reunited with his former Odgers & Heidrick teammate Hannah Joyce at Calibre One, one of the industry’s preeminent international search firms.
