Muzinich & Co has added Andrew Higginson, Edward Yu and Marcus VanBerkel have joined the firm’s business development team. All three will be based in New York.
Higginson joins from GAM Investments, where he was Managing Director and Co-Head of Institutional Business Development, North America. At Muzinich, Higginson will be focused on broadening and strengthening the Firm’s relationships with US institutions across its product platform.

Yu will concentrate on developing and marketing Muzinich’s hedge fund capabilities. He joins from Column Park Asset Management, where he was a founding partner and president.
“Muzinich was one of the early adopters in identifying opportunities available in actively-managed high yield credit portfolios. I believe its long-term track record in long/short credit strategies and in-depth focus on credit fundamentals will appeal to clients in their search for yield,” says Yu.
VanBerkel, who spent over seven years with DWS covering all insurance company types across multiple markets in the US and Puerto Rico, will focus on the insurance segment. VanBerkel adds, “Muzinich’s product offerings and creative mindset enables it to offer clients access to customized solutions across the credit spectrum.”
