During her initial nine and a half years at Calibre One, Venesa built a stellar reputation for placing executives in mission-critical roles across Marketing, Operations, Human Resources, and Product for trailblazing companies like Lovehoney, Thinx, and Personal Capital.
Her exceptional work with Mixbook as a client led them to recruit her as Head of Talent Acquisition in 2021. At Mixbook, a founder-led consumer creative platform, Venesa led a transformative journey, architecting a global talent acquisition strategy that transcended traditional boundaries. She built the company’s talent acquisition function from the ground up, positioning Talent Partners as strategic collaborators driving organizational objectives. Venesa also established an Employer Branding function to shape Mixbook’s narrative as an employer of choice and led the recruitment of pivotal executives, including the Chief Product Officer, Chief Marketing Officer, and Chief Technology Officer. These efforts were instrumental in Mixbook’s growth and innovation, giving her invaluable firsthand insight into the operational challenges faced by scaling businesses.
